Today's Featured Biography
Jeane Childs Stewart
I went to Texas A & I for 2 years and was married in 1961 and was a stay at home Mom until my divorce in 1975, when I got my real estate license and worked in real estate. I packed up my kids and ran away to San Antonio in 1980 and stayed in real estate most of that time, until I returned to Kingsville in 1989 and went to work for Kleberg County Title Co., as an Escrow Officer. In 1995 with my first three grandchildren living in San Antonio, I moved back and was an Escrow Officer at Stewart Title Company.
I moved back to Kingsville from San Antonio in 2002, working in a family business until 2004, I went back to work at Kleberg County Title Co. as an Escrow Officer and expect to be there when I retire, whenever that might be
I have four great kids, Sharlot (1962), Shelly (1964) Scott (1967) and Shawna (1970), they have been my life for the last 33 years and now I have nine grandchildren. Grayson (16), Alex (14), Josh (13), Amber (10), Austin (10), Stewart (8), Sydney (8), Madeline (7) and Jack (9 months). Seven are in the San Antonio-New Braunsfel area and the 2 youngest are in the San Francisco Bay area, way too far away for my liking.
I stay in touch with friends from high school, in fact Ann Arthur (Weber) and I still travel together and laugh about all the things that we did our Senior year. We still mourn the loss of Ruanne Turcotte McKinney, she was the best friend I ever had and since we became single the same year we were inseparable. Ran and played and started dating all over again. I think of her everyday.
I look forward to seeing everyone in September. Jean
