Today's Featured Biography

Where to begin? Let's see, after PC, I went to Abbott where it took me less than a year to be ask not to return (got an 8 in physics my last semester, that's even worse than just getting nothing, I just showed up sometimes). Then I went to Centennial college (NDG) for 2 years, and did get my P&A diploma. From there it was on to Concordia. Did that for about 1 1/2 years, just floating around in the geography program (word of advice, no matter how fun it is to sit in the back of the class with ex-PC'ers, it wont do much for your GPA).
This is where I met my future wife, Christine Jacques(from Rouyn-Noranda,Que). About 1/2 way though the Geography program, I decided I wan't going anywhere too fast, with that kind of BA, so I transferred to John Abbott again and completed a 3 year nursing diploma, and brought Christine with me. We married in August 1992 while in nursing school.
When we completed nursing, there weren't very many jobs (Christmas '93, spring '94) for Canadian nurses, so we packed up and moved to Southern Louisiana. From 1994 until last month, that's were we lived, just outside of Baton Rouge.
We got to experience Mardi-Gras with Mark L, Pat O'. Chris Muenkel visited too. But after almost 12 years, and since the birth of our 3 sons, our priorities have changed. So last month we decided to pack things up, and we moved to the Burlington area of Vermont. We don't miss the poisonous snakes in the pool, the poisonous fire ants, spiders, not to mention the alligators in all the fresh water bodies ( the kids still can't believe they could walk on a lakefront without looking for alligators). We brought the kids to the top of Mt Masnfield the first week of June, and there was still snow up there, the first time in their lives they've seen it! (I know there will be more of that this winter).
It's great to be close to the family again. My sister, her husband (Dawn & Rick Ridyard) and their 3 children still live in PFDS in my parents old house, and we visit my parent's cottage in the Adirondacks often.
