I left Wiesbaden weeks after graduation moving with my parents to Giesen. Shortly thereafter I left Germany because of a draft notice from the German Army. I moved to Boise Idaho where I worked 3 jobs and got nowhere. I earned my US citizenship in Dec 84' and joined the Air Force in August of 85 to get away from all of my alcoholic, druggie friends and because I failed to put away enough money to go to college. I met my wife the following May, we married 3 years later. 9 months later we had our first daughter; 7 years later we had our second daughter. My wife Nancy heroically fought cancer twice very early on in our marriage and after a successful bone marrow transplant in 96 she’s doing great. I retired from active duty on 1 Sep 2007 at Travis AFB CA with 22 years and 24 days served. During my career I’ve seen most of the world, been involved with much of the stuff you’ve seen on CNN one way or another since about 1987 and have lived life to it’s fullest with only a few regrets. During my AF career I was a flying crew chief on C-141’s and C-5’s then re-trained to become aircrew on the same airplanes as a flight engineer. We purchased a home in CA in 04' and found an awesome church. I am working for the city of Vacaville as an IT Tech now, a job that I love to do. I turned my hobby into a job and last but not least, I'm proud to say that my life has been changed because I call on the name above all names - Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior! That about wraps it up.
