Jennifer Withers Word
After graduation in '94 I went to Pepperdine U. in Malibu, CA, where I got a totally useless B.A. in psyc! I decided it was too depressing (no pun intended) to work in that field. I did however meet my husband while in school, and we got married in '98 AND had our daughter. Wedding/conception...don't even ask me which came first! In 2000 I had a son, and permanently quit work. I had been a data processor at a bank branch in Brentwood, and previous to that a Lovaas therapist working with autistic children. I recently went back to work part time for 15 months as a teacher at Gymboree, but now I'm just a mommy. :) We don't own a house yet, because we seem to have chosen the most overpriced real estate market to live in, but someday we will...My long term goal is NOT to go back to work, but be a writer. I hope to be published someday! Your best bet is to check the scifi/fantasy area in your local Barnes&Noble in about 5 years or so! (with any luck). I never thought I'd grow up to be a Mom...but I love it!! Hope to hear from people.
