7/28/08: While I technically graduate from Marylhurst University on 8/30/08 with a BA in Communication and a Certificate in Conflict Resolution & Mediation, I walked in our commencement ceremony on June 21st. At 35 I am finally a college grad - whew hew! I am also back to work selling spinal implants and tissue to surgeons for a company called Medius Medical Concepts. On the fun side; celebrated 5 years of marriage in March with a big party and we are going to see Madonna in Las Vegas in November. Finishing school & a new job - it's going to be an eventful year! :)
10/23/07: Hi All ~ Just got back yesterday from San Fran where I did the 1/2 Nike Women's Marathon on Sunday. It was a BEAUTIFUL course and we couldn't have been luckier with the weather. I completed 13.1 miles in 2hr & 14 mins which is a hair over a 10 minute mile average - not too shabby for my first marathon (ok, it was only a half - but still!) Best part: each finisher received a Tiffany necklace as you crossed the finish line - handed to you by a GORGEOUS male model wearing a tux! Yummy!Updated 6/29/06: After 8 yrs as a sales executive I've taken the plunge and gone back to school fulltime to FINALLY get my degree. If I keep my nose to the grindstone I should be done by summer of 2008. I'm attending Marylhurst University here in Oregon. My hubby is being extremely supportive; could be that he just likes the school girl outfit! ;)
Updated 4/19/06: Celebrated 3yr wedding anniversary in Mexico the week of March 3rd. Walking on the beach in Sayulita I hear someone call my name and there is DeeAnn Apgar! Small, small world!
We were in Maui in January and are going to Vegas the weekend of May 13th. Germany & Italy end of August and I'm training to run the Nike Women's San Francisco marathon which is Oct 22nd.
Work is going well and I was back in Anchorage this past March for work and then Denice Frost (Ratchner) and my little sister came down to Portland to celebrate her 21st b-day and Saint Paddy's Day with me. We had a blast!
