Today's Featured Biography
Tina England Murphy
Where has the time gone? 32 years graduated and 50 years young! After graduation I worked for The First National Bank of Birmingham (AMSOUTH) and went to college at night. I attenedd Jefferson State, and I graduated from UAB in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing. I spent two months in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, continuing Spanish language studies.
I moved to Houston, Texas, and worked with Ingersoll-Rand Company in the engineered products for the oilfield. I became an Independent Consultant with Mary Kay Cosmetics in 1982 and continue to be active today.
Durng the past 25 years I married, had two sons, moved to Raleigh, NC, and had another son. We moved to the Dallas/Ft. Worth area to a town due north of the DFW airport called Flower Mound. My husband, Pat, is a pilot for American Airlines, and this area is a terrific location for airport access.
While choosing to stay home with our sons, I kept in touch with the business world by volunteering with many organizations. A few of the outstanding organizations are TOASTMASTERS INTERNATIONAL, Boy Scouts of America, The Town of Flower Mound Boards & Commissions, McKamy Middle School Choir Booster President, Homeowners Associations, and many church programs in Raleigh & Flower Mound.
During the time we have lived in Texas, I have received a Certification in Community Association Management and my real estate license. I am a Realtor® with Taylor Realty Associates and own a company called Iris Management.
My parents made Panama City Beach, FL, their permanent home in 1998, and my husband and I built a vacation house next to them. It is still my favorite place to be. Fredia, Regina, Debbie, Teresa, Mickie & I have many fun memories there, and now, I have added even more.
I spend my time between Flower Mound, TX, and Panama City Beach, FL. Phoenix, AZ, is my other favorite location because that is where most of my in laws live. My husband has a very large family and there is never a dull moment!
Yes, I am enjoying everyday, and I thank everyone in my high school years who kept us moving in learning and determination regardless of the obstacles that came before us. Mrs, Janis Massie, you are the best!!!!
The latest "mini reunion" took place in Gulf Shores, AL, in June 2005. Pam (Downs) Livingston, Rhonda (Best) Madaris, Rene (Giles) Cordes, Sherie Mattox, and Sarah Burcham all had dinner and laughed and laughed and laughed! We felt we were 17 years old again! We are putting something together of the women of FHS who are "crossing the threshold of 50 years" this year (2006). If that is you let us know. We do not know what it will be just yet, we only know it will be great! Happy 50 years, fellow Red Hat Ladies!

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
