Benjamin Rogus

After graduating from Carlmont, I split my time between Grateful Dead shows and taking classes at CSM. Shortly after meeting Luisa, my wife-to-be, I transferred to UC Santa Cruz and got my BA in Latin American Studies. By some twist of fate, I got a summer job at Genentech the year before I graduated (thanks Stacy!) and the following year returned to start a career in Quality Assurance. In 2000 I moved with my wife to Bolivia where I taught English and worked with a group of coffee cooperatives for my Masters degree. We returned in 2002 and after a stint at another pharmaceutical company I returned to Genentech in 2004, the same year my daughter Natalie was born. I'm still at Genentech working as a QA Computer System Validation Engineer, waiting for the next opportunity to live abroad.
