Early Friday morning, Donna passed away from a long, courageous, hard fought battle with cancer. She is finally at peace with no more suffering or pain.

I'm lucky to still be living in Marin, where I teach 8th grade science at Miller Creek Middle School in San Rafael. We just had our second son, Miles, (now one week old), and I'm keeping my hopes up that I may be able to get a little sleep in the next few months. I still play piano, run, bike and even play tennis in the few spare moments of time I have. It's been great keeping in touch with a handful of friends from our class, as well as seeing many others in the small world of Marin.
