I finally caved in and decided to place a profile online, hope it doesn't bore you to much.
Where do we start...some time after graduation from High School, eighteen months or so, I enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. My specialty was Aircraft Maintenance. Completed four years of service to my country and then decided that I wanted to do this job for a living. Shortly after getting out of the Air Force I was hired by United Airlines. I worked for what I considered at the time, the best airline in the world repairing heavy jets.
The work was exciting and our family traveled for free!!(what a deal). During the course of my employment of 17 years at United we visited England, Australia, New York, Florida, Colorado, and Hawaii. What a trip it was!! Unfortunately the airline industry was undergoing dramatic changes and consolidation that was not conducive to secure employment.
Sooo, In February of 2005 I accepted a voluntary furlough(layoff), basically quitting and taking a leap of faith in hopes of securing a better job. That move paid off well, and was hired by Genentech Inc, a biotechnology company in May of 2005. You have probably heard of us...we make the infamous cancer drug Herceptin for breast cancer and quite a few others currently on the market.
What an awesome job!! I'm helping people out and getting paid to do it!! I repair and maintain the biotech equipment involved in the process of manufacturing the drugs. The company is a very forward thinking, people oriented managed company and treats their employees extremely well. Every other Friday we have company get togethers....food, beer, fun, and a chance to mix it up so to speak!
Enough about me...I am married to a beautiful and talented woman by the name of Regina. We have two daughters, Brittani and Lauren. My oldest is currently attending Sacramento City College and plans on going to Sac State. My youngest is a competitive soccer player and is on a traveling team,(oh no I'm a soccer Dad!). We also have a waaaaay cool dog..a Jack Russell who goes by the name of Jake.
Now that I have completely and thoroughly bored the hell out of everyone I think I'll go home and wake up from this mad dream that I actually got on this weird website and updated my Class Reunion profile!!
