"The picnic was an absolute blast! Blue and Gold balloons scattered the picnic area where the Class of 1987 reunited. With two horse shoe pits, bubbles, squirt guns, a badminton net, board games, great music, the playground, and each other, the kids had no problem keeping busy. The rest of us indulged in adult conversation w/ familiar faces from the past, and at the same time enjoyed a bite to eat. I had great fun sharing all the reunion hype and madness with Dawn (Brannon) in putting on this event. She arrived at 7am to stake our plot in a very shady, grassy location, with several picnic benches, close to bathrooms and the playground. It gave an opportunity for those who could not attend the reunion, to come to an alumni gathering. It was a fun and friendly atmosphere with plenty of alumni offspring running around. The spouses, partners and kids seemed to enjoy getting acquainted along with the rest of us who could not stop chatting and "oh my goshing" over exchanging stories."
"Thanks to my wonderful, loving, husband B.J. for all his support and the "behind-the-scene" role he played in planning this event. TO ALL who arrived with their families and to those who arrived alone, those who stayed an extra day from out of town to attend, even those who showed up hung over, this event was all about you, and we thoroughly hope you enjoyed every minute.
