Today's Featured Biography
Shirley (Jerry) Reith Bennett
After graduation from FHS I went on to San Jose State, majored in Education, graduated in 1959. Del Bennett and I were married in 1961, settled to Seattle, Wa. He was a professor in the Speech Department and I taught first grade until we moved to Whidbey Island in 1974. I continued to teach first grade in Oak Harbor, he retired due to his heart condition in 1978. We lived in Coupeville in our dream home on the beach until his death in 1998. I have continued to live in our family home. Our daughter lives on south Whidbey, our grandson is a sophomore at South Whidbey High School where he excells in academics, football and theater arts.
I thoroughly enjoyed our 30th reunion and our 50 even more this past fall. I look forward to keeping in touch with classmates and attending future reunions regularly. I hope fhs classmates will contact me when they are up this way so I can show them around the area.
Many thanks to Patricia Shirver for host our website!

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
