Hi Classmates! Thank you for your friendship and all the wonderful years we have known each other. I treasure every fond memory of you and I think of you frequently. I get excited every time I see you at a reunion, receive a phone call, get an email, and see you on Facebook. Please stay in touch. Eagles are friends forever!
I married Bob Wilcoxon on my 18th birthday right after graduation. We have two sons, a daughter, six grand daughters, one grandson (we used to call them the six pack until the seventh one was born. Now we have six queens and a king). Sadly, Bob passed away February 28, 2011 after a long illness.
I have been a Realtor since January 6, 1977. I work for Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage at The North Metro Office in Westminster as a full service Realtor. I taught part-time at the Coldwell Banker Real Estate Academy, mentored new agents, and assisted with office training.
Hobbies include family, genealogy, computers, internet, the Shirley Club, and PLANNING OUR CLASS REUNIONS! I am the president of the Denver Metro Chapter of the American Historical Society of Germans from Russia and I am a board member the international organization. I belong to the Adams County Genealogical Society, the Adams County Historical Society, the Arvada Historical Society, the Colorado Council of Genealogy Societies, W.I.S.E. (Wales, Ireland, Scotland, England), and many other organizations.
I was the Historian and Archivist for the Union #1/Adams City High School Alumni Association for seven years. My duties are to obtain the history of our school and to collect and maintain memorabilia relating to our school years and the community.
I am a graduate of the class of 1962. I attended Derby Elementary, Kearney Junior High, and Adams City High School.
I was a member of the Historical Preservation Committee for Adams County School District #14. We explored the inclusion of a school memorabilia museum to be located in the new high school and/or administration building.
I am a member of the Commerce City Historical Society. Donations of related items are greatly appreciated such as photographs, scrapbooks, yearbooks, trophies, autograph books, prom and dance programs, journals, school papers, newspaper clippings, school newspapers, graduation items, souvenirs, class reunion memory books, and other keepsakes. “Then and now” photographs of the local businesses, homes, community, families, buildings, schools, and hangouts are welcome. Photocopies or scanned items are acceptable. We especially welcome and solicit your written memories of Adams County School District 14 along with your school picture and a current photograph.
