Today's Featured Biography
Renae Burney Jurasic
I went to college downtown to Metro state and studied Early Childhood and Elementary Education. I worked and went to college for 4 1/2 yrs., until the sudden death of my father and I decided to get out on my own. I left college with student teaching and I class left to go for my degree. I was working at a medical office part time and they offered me a full time job. I worked in the medical field a few years then decided to go into my field of study. I worked 8 years at teaching and other capacities with children to make ends meet and got burned out.I met my husband in 1985 and we married in 1986. I went back into the medical field for health insurance benefits. That lasted apx. 18 yrs. Our first child John Jr. was born June 1988 and he is a sophomore at Colorado School of Mines, he is studying mechanical engineering and hopes to get a job in the motorsports or automotive engineering field since he grew up at the drag race strip. John and I began drag racing in 1991. John Jr. began driving a jr. dragster at 11 yrs, and drove my Nova in High School racing. Our daughter Christa was born December 1992 she is currently a freshman at Bear Creek High School in Lakewood, Co. looking forward to getting her driving permit in Dec. and she has been driving a jr. dragster since she was 8 yrs. old.
John and I started our own business 3 yrs. ago. We sell and service auto body shop equipment. John has been in the autobody shop business since he was a kid helping his father, a painter for Leo Payne for 33 yrs.
He is a mechanical contractor and well as a great salesman.
Our family is our main focus, and with the help of God we help others when we can, especially our elderly parents who live close.
