Today's Featured Biography
Michael Steckley
I wasn't really sure what I wanted to do after High School, so I played around for a few years. I finally came to a decision and joined the Navy.
I began in the Nuclear field, but it was too difficult to absorb a 3 year education in a 6 month period. Ultimately, I repaired the reactor systems instead of operating them for a few years. Now I am handle Aviation Ordnance (bombs, missiles, rockets, guns...) and maintain aircraft weapon systems. I guess you could call it "Landscaping and Population Control". 14 Years of service now with only 6 more to retirement. I am presently living in Jacksonville Florida teaching the Weapon systems of the H-60 Helicopters. I am an E-6 with hopes of making chief before I get out.
Got married to my Beautiful wife in 1997 and had my handsome son in 1998. So far I have traveled to Guam, Puerto Rico, UAE, Bahrain, Australia, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Japan in the last 4 years but hope to stay in Jacksonville until I retire in 2009.
