Friends,
I hope this message finds you and your family enjoying good health and happiness on your life's journey. If everything is not going great at every moment, you're human. Don't forget that you have friends who care about you. Speaking of (old) friends...........
The date for our Northglenn High School Class of 1974 35th reunion has been confirmed at the Northglenn VFW on Saturday evening, July 25, 2009.
Members of the planning team agreed that an informal one-night event like we had at the VFW for the 30th reunion is preferable over the expense and effort of a multi-day affair. We prefer to focus on renewing bonds with friends. We would also like to include a few other NGHS classes and hope the idea of joint reunions hosted by a single class becomes the norm.
Here is a recap of the first planning get-together and decisions :
Who: Northglenn High School classes of 1972-1975
What: Reunion hosted by NGHS Class/1974 (our 35th anniversary)
Where: Northglenn VFW Post, 10217 Quivas Street, Northglenn, CO
When: Saturday, July 25, 2009, 6:00 p.m. through ???
Why: Why not?
$10 admission price at the door includes one well drink or beer
We are also exploring an optional "Norsemen Nine" scramble tournament at the Kennedy Golf Course in Denver. Tentative price of $30 would include 9 holes, shared golf cart, and 2 drink tickets. Before we make it firm, we would like to know if you would be interested in participating in the golf tournament. It would likely start around 10 or 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2009.
This is a heads-up to let you know we are thinking of you and hope you can find a way to join us on July 25, 2009.
What we would appreciate from you:
calling 303-963-1674 and let us know that you are interested and plan to attend
Help getting the word out to your friends and former classmates -- feel free to forward with abandon
Confirmation by email or phone of your current mailing address and contact phone numbers
Questions, comments, etc about the event
We will be mailing an invite (probably a postcard) in the near future but will only send those to NGHS 1974 classmates to keep down the cost.
Keep an eye out for more emails and notice of the reunion Web site and Facebook info.
Until we see you, be safe.

I became a high school drafting instructor for Adams 12 Vo-tech for first 5 years after high school while going to some college and tech school. I have worked in the drafting, design and development industry since high school mostly in the application of automation equipment.
Have worked for the likes of IBM, Coors, Ball, U.S. Mint, Science Applications, Eagle Claw. Have worked on the space shuttle program and a nuclear radiography program for the Air Force, operation manuals for IBM copiers, automation of 12 pack packaging, automation of the state quarters and dollar coins, material and shape design with high speed automation manufacturing, and prototype development of the improved aluminum can.
I was married for 7 plus years, been divorced since 2003. I coached baseball in the Standley Lake/Pomona area programs for seven years. No children of my own that I know of. I also travel as a race official for NHRA and was a starter for Bandimere Speedway for several years. I love to play golf and go fly-fishing if I have the time.
It’s been great working on the reunion committee/golf tournament and I appreciate all the great friends that once established our values and defined who we are today. Those childhood days were truly our wonder years. I really look forward to seeing everyone and remembering those days as only the ones we shared those moments with truly appreciate. It’s not where you go… but whom you go with…
