Today's Featured Biography
Alicia McQueen Borlik
Joined the Army out of high school and ended up making it a career in public affairs. I met my husband during my first six months in while we were in military public affairs school in Indiana. We've been together for 20 years now, nearly 19 married. I have five beautiful kids, 2 boys and 3 girls, in that order. I left active duty in 2001 and just filed my paperwork to retire from the Army Reserves. In my civilian job, I teach public affairs, journalism and photography to military servicemembers. I absolutely love the military; can't imagine working with a more awesome group of people.
I've been living in Maryland for 12 years since my husband and I were stationed here in '95. We really like it here though I'm the only child living out of the state my parents live in -- Missouri. Our closest family is in Michigan.
Wow, it's weird thinking how long it's been since I graduated, and now this year my oldest child is graduating. And my youngest is in kindergarten. My home won't be quiet for a long time.
Though I wasn't able to make it to the reunion, I hope to visit soon. My sister is moving back to Denver next month. I look forward to seeing everybody. Feel free to email me. I love getting mail and promise to get back to you. Will post some pics soon too.
