Today's Featured Biography
Brian Willms
A lot has happened since 1987! It’s been fun catching up on developments of my high school classmates and seeing all the pictures. Some people seemed to have really changed and others still seem the same. Of course, when reflecting upon my life I guess the same could be said about myself. I feel that in many ways I have changed but ironically in so many ways I feel the same.
I took a year off after graduation before heading off to college at Metro. It was there I met my first wife. We divorced in 1997. Thankfully, we are still good friends to this day especially since that marriage produced my wonderful daughter, Taryn! Taryn is 11 and a 5th grader. She has been an incredible gift in my life, bringing me much joy and teaching me so much!!!
The other great gift in my life is my beautiful angel, Marcie! Not only does she keep me laughing but also she brings out the best in me in so many ways. Just as important, she and Taryn have made a magnificent connection and have become very close. Of course, it helps that Marcie is a 6th grade teacher and has a special gift for working with kids.
As for me, I am the Director of Membership for the Portland Business Alliance. It’s a great job for a great organization. I started as their Small Business Development Manager and I am still very much involved with helping small businesses in the Portland community. Obviously, Marcie and I currently reside in Portland, OR and we both love it here. And in case you haven’t figured it out from my pictures or Terry’s, we are still the best of friends!
Unfortunately, I won’t be attending the 20-year reunion because I will be attending a national conference in Sacramento where I will be speaking. However, I will be there in spirit and I will continue to visit this site to keep updated on the happenings of each of you.
