Well, since graduation, I attended U of D and majored in Political Science and minored in Legal Studies. After graduating in 1997 I worked briefly for DNREC Parks and Rec and then Dover Downs Raceway and Casino. In 1999, I was hired by the Delaware Department of Corrections as a Probation and Parole Officer and that is where I have been since. I am now a Senior P&P Officer working in the House Arrest Unit in Kent County where I spend most of my days tracking sex offenders with GPS equipment. Since 2005 I have also been a member of the DE DOC Correction Emergency Response Team, basically the DOC’s swat team. They let me blow things up and break down doors and walls, which is pretty entertaining.
In 2000, I became a proud father of a wonderful little boy named Matthew Raymond Wood. Unfortunately, things did not work out between his mother and me, but I moved on and found someone even better and married her in 2006. She has a great little boy who I have known since he was about 6 months old. We all currently live near Hartly, DE. We also have a house full of little ones; Fauna our little all black pug; Flower our fuzzy little ferret and of course assorted frogs and lizards that the boys have for pets from time to time.
Well, new news since the last time I was on here. I am no longer a State employee. I an currently in the Delaware State Police Academy for Dover Police Department. I have been living there during the week and coming home on the weekends only since November 3rd. I graduate soon, April 8 and I cannot wait.
