Today's Featured Biography
Rob Weiss
After graduating from UCF, I returned to Ft Myers and worked for the 20th Judicial Circuit. After completing my master's degree from Michigan, I relocated to Seattle as a Special Agent with the US Department of Justice (then Dept. of the Treasury)- Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives working in firearms trafficking investigation. I was assigned to the FBI joint terrorism task force after the World Trade Center attacks on September 11, 2001.
I have lived overseas four almost ten years, starting with Bangkok, Thailand working on a contract with the Thai government. After three years, I relocated to Hanoi, Vietnam were I worked as a contractor for a year. I maintained a residence in both countries because I traveled frequently between both countries. I was working on a PhD at the University of South Australia, but I couldn't finish with the workload of a normal job.
I decided I wanted to do something different, so I joined the Peace Corps and I was sent to China for almost three years. I absolutely loved it. As a result I can speak Chinese fairly fluently.
After Peace Corps, I became a contractor for the US Department of State and I was sent to Tunisia to work at the US Embassy. Unfortunately, I had to leave early due to the Arab uprising in late 2010/early 2011.
I currently work for the US State Department, Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs dealing with global drug demand reduction.
Will be heading out to Dhaka, Bangladesh shortly for a two to three-year tour at the U.S. Embassy as the Fraud Prevention Unit Chief in charge of immigrant visa fraud.

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
