Faith Lakeman Bierbaum

The further away I get from Hialeah High, and the people I spent so much time with in the orchestra and Tropical Knights, the more I think of them. After graduation I attended Charron-Williams Commercial College. Thinking it was a waste of time, I quit and went to work for Metro-Dade County at Jackson Memorial Hospital. While there I married a County employee and had two beautiful children, Don and Heidi. Faithfulness was not one of my beloved's strong points, and I soon found myself single. I moved to Suwannee County, Florida to work at the Florida Sheriff's Boys Ranch where I met "Mr. Wonderful #2" and had another precious baby. However, #2 felt the proper way to treat a wife was to hit her and choke her to keep her in line. Exit stage right. Moved to St. Petersburg with my three precious little cargos and met #3. Repeat steps #1 and #2. Back single again, my Mom moved in with me to help with the children while I worked. Giving up on love, I spent every available moment with my children and studying Amateur Radio. I received my General Class License (WA4WOU) in 1976. In October 1979 I met MISTER RIGHT!!!!, and we have been happily married for almost 29 years. I may be slow, but I get things right eventually . . . I just don't give up. I retired June 1, 2008 and promptly found a job as a caregiver 3 days a week. MISTER RIGHT (a/k/a Dave) and I are going on an Alaskan Cruise on May 8th this year. We both are so excited. Best wishes to ya'll as we retire and start a new phase of our lives. It's kinda like graduating, isn't it?
