Today's Featured Biography
William McCarthy
Well, I've done a lot over the last 20 yrs...mostly not the conventional life that so many of my classmates have lived. I left NPR in 85 for Berkeley, CA. where I stayed for 2 yrs and had a blast...my family ties being so strong brought me back to FL, but not NPR-- FTL instead,it was fun and sun but also heartache....I fell in love with someone who loved the bottle more than me...sigh...oh well......that led to introspection as to what kind of adult I really wanted to be. So I relocated to Orlando , where I didn't exactly fall in love but I did stay involved with someone for 7 yrs we had the house,2 cars in the driveway, but he thought drugs were more fun and important than me and our life. So I moved to Tampa, left a career of 15 yrs as a retail furniture store deisigner, went back to school got my degree, and it's just me, my 2 dogs--Buster & Rocky, 2 cats--Grace & Albert in my condo on the lake...
Will be interesting to see the next 20 yrs!!
