Today's Featured Biography
John Whatley
Born and reared in Tampa, FL. Three year football letterman at Chamberlain High School (1958-1962); state champs 1961! University of Florida - BSBA (magna cum laude) and 1967 MBA with high honors in Management. Two year Gator football letterman, Academic All-American, Ray Graves' All-decade team. After six months of "debate" with Bob Edewaard, became a Christian in Feb, 1965 and I've thanked God every day for redeeming my life. Married Joanne Tremper, April, 1965 (divorced after 25 years); 3 wonderful children (Will, Russell, Amber). Our third boy, Ryan, died accidentally when he was just over 2 years old and is in heaven with other loved ones chosen by God.
Twenty-five years with IBM in sales, technical support, and management in several Florida locations and 2 years in Atlanta. Took early retirement in 1992, started computer and network consulting (Personal Systems Services, Inc. aka PSSI), and moved from South Florida to Atlanta. In 2002, I partnered with Terry Gilbreath (AT&T retiree) to continue our consulting work. PSSI now emphasizes Cloud Computing and prevention of technology problems using Managed Services.
I met Kay Methvin Statham in 1993 and we were married in December, 1994. She is sixth generation Atlanta, so I was sure we would never move out of this area. In our blended family, our 6 children are all married and have blessed us with 15 grandchildren. Kay loves teaching 3 year old children at a private Christian school. We both enjoy wonderful Christian fellowship with our family and friends in the Greater Atlanta area.

Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
