Hello Greenwaves,
Just wanted to let everyone know that Courtney ('Jenkins') McKinney C/O 95 & I have finally finalized the plans for a class reunion cruise for May 4-8, 2009.
We will be leaving from Mobile, AL on Monday May4th and we will travel to Cozumel, Mexico & Calica, Mexico. This is a 5 day cruise. We leave Monday, May 4th at 4pm and return on Saturday, May 8th at 8:00am.
The itenerary is as follows:
Monday May 4th- depart at 4pm
Tuesday May 5th- fun day at sea
Wednesday May 5th- Cozumel Mexico 8am-6pm
Thursday May 7th- Calica Mexico 7am-5pm
Friday May 8th- fun day at sea
Saturday May9th- Mobile 8am
This cruise is through Carnival and we will be on the Holiday. Payments CAN be made up until March 5, 2009- with first payment of $200.00 per person being due September 4, 2008 (one month). Don't worry if you can't make a payment by then or if you can't make the full payment.
Carnival will work with us!!! As long as you can make some type of deposit, even if it is after the due date, that is ok! You can make as many payments as you need to ($25 a month, $50 a week, $100 a month, etc). As long as your balance is paid in full by March 5, 2009.
Refunds ARE allowed if you cancel prior to travel dates. I am not sure what the extact time frame is for this (i.e, if yu have to cancel 30 days prior) but I will find out.
Carnival will also be giving us a complimentry open bar for one hour at one of the bars on the ship! There is FREE 24/7 food for all- Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner is covered for ALL 5 DAYS. Each room will also receive two complimentary Carnival tote bags!
Some of the highlights of the ship: Casino, Piano Bar, Lounge, Dance Club, Theater, golf course, pools, spa, & an internet cafe. There will be shows, karaoke, & activities for kids.
The cost is $424.57 for interior rooms & $474.57 for ocean view rooms. This DOES include taxes & fees. This rate can be reduced if you choose to book 4 people per room as these rates are only based on double occupancy.
You also have the OPTION to buy insurance for $79.00 per person (in case you have to cancel after the deadline).
And you have the option to pre pay for gratuitues $50.00 per person. You can wait until the end of your trip to decide if you'd like to tip or not as well.
*Note: If you are 24weeks (or more) pregnant- you CANNOT cruise.
**If you would like to bring children, the fee is the same as the adults. All children must be at least 6 months old.
If you plan to go PLEASE let Courtney or myself know. We have reserved 24 cabins - 12 interior & 12 ocean view.
The booking # is 37BW08. The group name is Spencer High School CO 95/96.

PLEASE PUT THE BOOKING # ON YOUR CHECKS OR MONEY ORDERS YOU MAIL IN!!!!
You should also note that a PASSPORT is required for all cruise lines now. You can obtain one at your local post office. The total cost should be about $100.00. If you plan to go I suggest you get one as soon as possible as it takes several weeks for them to be sent.

Today's Featured Biography
La Keisha Cromwell
What up class of 96? I have been a busy bee since graduation, and I haven't stopped yet. I attended Georgia State University after high school and graduated after 6 LONG YEARS with a Bachelor's in Sociology, and a minor in English. I did some union work right out of college in Savannah and D.C. I returned to Atlanta after 6 months to finish my English degree, and I started back at my first real job throughout college: serving and bartending at a mexican restaurant called Casa Grande(so if you are in Atlanta and in the mood for some bomb Mexican food, head to Peachtree Street). They transferred me to Chicago six months later to open a new store. I came back to Atlanta a year later, and went into management. I am now residing in the D.C. area managing one of our restaurants in Maryland. I have not settled down yet or had any kids, but I hope to soon (I hope someone is paying attention). I am glad so many of you are doing well, and I miss MOST of you. I can't wait to see all of you. I wouldn't miss this for the world! Hit me up with an email if you like.
