Today's Featured Biography
Curtis Shaw
Well after school, in November on 1986 I went to bootcamp in San Diego, California. I went to Radioman "A" School(Communications) and then Morse Code School. Once I left there I went to Virginia to a ship name USS Mount Whitney in 1987, I was there for 3 years. Married in 1988, my son was born from this marriage in 1990. In 1991 I was stationed at Shore Immediate Maintenence Activity(SIMA), Charleston, SC. I was there two years, Here my marriage ended. After that in 1993, I had fun and went overseas to NAVCOMTELSTA, Puerto Rico. I left there in 1995 and went back to Virginia to the USS Kalamozoo. Here I finalize my divorce from my son's mother, and found a new partner. Form there I changed bases in Virginia to Little Creek (a very small base) to TACRON 21, a air squadron. In 1999 I went to the USS Oak Hill at Little Creek base. While here my new partner and I got married in 2001. With here we have no kids together, but she has three, which are my step children. My last duty station was SPAWARSYSCEN Norfolk, which is where I Retired after 20 years of service. I now work on the Norfolk Naval Base for a command called COMNAVAIRFORCE as a Information Technology contrator.
