I graduated from SIU-Carbondale with a degree in Marketing. I switched careers to computers 20 years ago and haven't looked back. I am curently a Unix System Administrator and have been for the last 11 years. I have had my job shipped overseas twice since 2000, but that is supposed to be good for the economy. The web site above is for the CBOE members and I support one of the servers which drives the site.

I was married for 10 years to a member of DGN Class of 1977 - Marylou Mund (we did not date while in High School), and have been divorced for 6 years. I lived in DG until 2 years ago when I moved all the way to Lisle.

I am a survivor of cancer, having had a malignant mole removed from my back in 1983. I have a rather large scar across my back as a result, but the scar is a small price to pay considering the alternative.

I am an active member of the church where I was baptized as an infant - First Congregational Church, Downers Grove - UCC. PLease see the web site listed as my personal site. I am in the front row of the picture on the main page. I know its hard to see me, but I'm standing next to my Friend Olgha, who marched with Ceasar Chavez in the '60s. I see another of our classmates Ruth (West) Morello there as she and her husband are also members. I also see Mrs. Montrew Dunham, Mr. Stan Steed, Mr. Larry Leathers, and Mr. Bob Katrein there, from time to time, as they all members. I have served on the confirmation team; the Peace and Justice Ministry; volunteer at the Church's coffee house (see http://twowaystreet.org); worked lights and sound for services; and help support the computers in the church office. Some of the projects I have worked on through church are: marching against invading Iraq; advocated for living wages and decent treatment of immigrant farm workers; aiding homeless families with decent housing and mentoring; speaking out against the abuses of the SOA; aiding groups fighting racial hate organizations in our area and throughout the country; working at the Chicagoland food depository which stocks food pantries throughout Chicagoland; and helped serve meals to the homeless right here in super rich DuPage county.

During the late '80s and early '90s I was on the executive commitee of the local Sierra Club. I served as Tresurer for 4 years, Political Action Chairman for 6 years, and led hiking, biking, canoeing, and cross-country sking outings. At the time I met every member of the Illinois legislature, the two members of the US House and the two US Sentators representing some or all of DuPage county.

I am still in contact with a number of our classmates and we communicate via an email list server maintained by our classmate Russ Block. Class of '76 members who participate on this email list include: Sue (Bobs) Germain, Arnie Germain, Russ Block, Doug Greenhill, Margarite (Anderson) Re, Dave Fisher, MJ Ferrantino, Tracy Rizzo, Carlton Carnahan, and Greg Vosefski. The list also includes other DGN grads from the classes of 1974, 75, 77, 78, 79, and some from the 80's (not sure of those years). During our school years, we were the group that hung out back stage working on plays. Well, we still hang out together, but now in cyberspace. People on the list have their homes from coast-to-coast, with a heavy concentration in Chicagoland.

I have been to all 50 States and am the only person you will probably ever meet who has his own Interstate Highway exit. Ask me how that happens to be.

In my spare time the last few years I have been helping our classmate Marguerite (Anderson) Re's world-class guitarist sister Muriel Anderson (DGN Class of 1978) manage a couple of concerts each year. The pic is Muriel and I back stage at one of her famous "All-Star Guitar Night" concerts at the NAMM convention this past summer in Indianapolis. While doing this I have met some of the world's most talented guitarist, but I can't play a lick.
