Linda Mapes Ellis

Although I didn't graduate from DGN, I attended there up until 10th grade (Spring Break). I like to hear/see people writing in and would like to hear about reunions.

My father then moved our family to Columbus, Ohio and found a very nice community in Worthington, Ohio.

I met my husband in 11th grade here and dated for 8 years before we married. We will be married 20 years (1986) in 2006. So technically we have been together 28 years. I truly have found my soul mate.

I attended 3 high schools during my 4 years of high school education (1 in Columbus called Brookhaven until my dad found the right location). After high school I went straight into the work force doing secretarial jobs and was a Claims Secretary in a major Ohio insurance company here. I had HAD ENOUGH of school; since I wasn't good in Math. And let me tell you...a stay at home full time mom is harder than any job away from home.

I was shy in High School; but not anymore!!! Funny how having children brings that out. Wish I could have been friends with more people. If any of you said HI to me in the halls and I didn't acknowledge,(it was because I was blind as a bat..I didn't wanna wear my glasses and I didn't wear contacts until I got out on my own for a job). Probably why I didn't do as well as I could have in school. My husband informed me that he would say Hi and I never acknowledged. He thought I was being a B. You know you can't really hear in the halls...so it was more like in passing.

We live on 5 acres in Galena Ohio in the country now (girls attend country schools Jamie (16)(2007) is graduating next year from high school. She wants to be a plastic surgeon.) Samantha is into ALL kinds of sports; basketball, volleyball and Ski Club (snowboarding).

Tim's family is also on the land with us on their own 5 acres. His dad, and 1 of his brothers. 2 of his brothers live down the street. Tim is the VP of Info Technology and has been able to support us so I can stay at home with the girls growing up. What a blessing.

Would like to see more of you writing in! And wish I could do it all over again.
