Cheryl Draeger

Dear Classmates of UTHS 1972;
We are each asked to write a thesis of our life story and add it in this little box. After I graduated from UTHS in 1972, I went onto Black Hawk College. I met my husband there and we got married in 76.
We divorced in 1999, and I attended Augustana College from 1980 through 82. From there I went back to Black Hawk, took philosophy and graduated. Then I went to St. Ambrose University and Graduated from there in 1986-87. I visited my brother in Germany that year. He was first starting out as a Lieutenant in the US Army, and he and his family of 3 children and a wife, had a nice apartment there. I got to go on several tours to see the mountains and country side. I took a few Pastoral Care Classes taught jointly through Marycrest College and the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary, offered here in town. I got a couple of A’s I started Ecumenical Fellowship For the Disabled.
Then I went onto Drew University Theological School, Madison, NJ, in 1991 through 1993. I graduated from there with a Masters in Theological Studies. I did my Clinical Pastoral Education in Glenwood Hospital School, Glenwood Iowa, summer of 1992.
After graduation I worked doing odd jobs, which is all the Quad Cities had at that time. I took care of the elderly in their homes, substitute teaching for several Illinois school districts, and did telemarketing.
I returned to college for a second undergrad, 5 years ago, in Art Education. If you remember I was one of the school artists, and helped to paint the front windows in our High School for Christmas. I have always been good at art, and great with kids. So I started back at St. Ambrose University in 2007, then went onto Scott Community College and picked up some undergrad credit hours there to transfer back into St. Ambrose for my second undergrad degree. My GPA is a 3.999. I belong to Phi-Theta-Kappa (Honors). Meantime I have restarted Ecumenical Fellowship, and it is now incorporated. We are working on our 501-c3. I have taken over our neighborhood’s Neighborhood Watch. We have our Neighborhood watch in a private chat room on facebook, and I have created about 13 other facebook pages. There are dog and cat rescue pages, and there is a neighborhood page called “East Bluff News, Davenport, IA.” My most popular dog/cat rescue page is “Underground Animal Network” the next popular page is “Lab Rescue Bulletin Board”. Let me know if you want any of the labs posted and I will help you get them. Facebook is a good medium to find our class mates. You will find many of us there. Go ahead and “friend” me.
I’m pursuing an interest in breeding collies, and have two fine collies now. I’m also looking into finishing my Doctorate of Ministry, (D-Min) through on-line classes through my former seminary.
I do not know how many people will find this letter, and have patience with this slow program. However if you find this remember to view my photo album, which contains pictures of our 35th Reunion. I miss all of you. I love all of you.
