Today's Featured Biography
Winfield Green
Born in LA in 1943. Ended up in Lombard and joined the Class of 61. Married Barb and had two kids. Went to Northwestern at night school while raising a family, class of 68. Worked most of my life programming computers big and small. Yes, I do web sites. Currently work for Abnamro, a Dutch based Bank. They are out sourcing and off shoring the entire IT staff. My last day will be October 31, 2006. I will be available for under ground assignments starting next year, please cash only.
My hobbies are long distance running, golf, square dancing, and hunting. I hunt deer with the old time longbows. My sole claim to fame is that as a young lad I could shoot a 100# bow. Old age has caught up with me, and today at 62, I am happy to barely manage 80 pounds. I have been extremely lucky and usually gather two or three deer each year. Barb does not like all the extras the farmers put into beef, so for us it is venison or nothing. She is a wonderful mate and a better tracker than I am.
We have our own class of 61web site managed by our own Sue Measures. It is very active with many spirited debates. I am a democrat on a republican web site. I support blacks, women, gays, Mexicans, etc. Attempts to tar and feather me have only been partially successful.
