Sue Creech Gilliatt

I met my husband the summer after graduating from high school. He was majoring in Creative Writing at I.U.; we married in 1974 just before I finished the LPN program at IVTC and divorced in 1991. I worked for a year at the Bloomington Convalescent Center before we moved to Indianapolis and have been employed at Community East since-almost 35 years! (One of my co-workers says I was there when they laid the first brick and I laid the second one!) I enrolled at Herron School of Art in 1984 and received a BFA in 1988. Plans are to concentrate on my art career once I retire from my "day job". I have published poems in compilation books by the International Library of Poetry and enjoy cooking, gardening, fishing and tending to my "herd" of cats.
