I have been working as an Art Dept. Head in Colorado since 2002, teaching middle school art classes through Adams 12 School District. I have a wonderful husband (married now for almost 15 years) and two great kids, Ross (1998) and Maggie (2001).
I attended DePauw University (Greencastle)where I received my BFA and had the wonderful opportunity of working in New York as an apprentice to several artists, traveled and studied in France, attended Graduate school at University of Minnesota (Minneapolis) and received my MFA degree majoring in printmaking and drawing. I then decided teaching should be my focus and then continued at Indiana University in Bloomington and received my teaching certification K-12 in art. I accepted the first job that was offered to me from the Southwest and taught art on an Indian Reservation in Arizona for 10 years before teaching in Colorado and just loved the Southwest, enough to stay as long as I could. The Southwest is just amazingly unique...the smells, the scenery, the people, the wildlife...it just felt like home to me and knew this is where I should stay and as an artist for I felt it was perfect fit.
We spend so much of our free time as a family hiking through Rocky Mountain National Park near Estes Park, CO and love to explore other locations in Colorado as well for hiking and camping, and other National Parks, such as Glacier National Park, Yellowstone, Grand Tetons and this coming summer, Alaska.
I love to walk, jog and or bike on my free time and have discovered several amazing paths which take me anywhere and the views are just amazing. Colorado is a magical place and am fortunate to live and work here, for I am constantly mesmerized and inspired.

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
