50 Year Reunion Announcement!

At this time we have no other information other than it will be in Sullivan the week-end of the Corn Festival in 2011. And the goal is to get everyone back for that one. I won't take an excuse......of we (my wife and I) are having a new baby, we will be on vacation or I am not retired. No just kidding. From experience, as many other classmates will tell you, you never know when you will not have another chance to see all of the classmates of 61. So mark your calenders right now. |

Today's Featured Biography
Patti Lambeth Poole
I am retired from Indiana Bell/Ameritech and Bill and I were married in 1961. We had 2 children. Tami is a 2nd grade teacher in Franklin Township where we raised our children. Todd is a Vice President of Sales East of the Mississippi River for UPS. He lives in Texas. Next year we will have 3 Grandchildren in college. Since Bill's death, our family and friends have been a wonderful support system. I am addicted to scrap booking and sports with the kids. 2 are playing college sports and the rest are playing too. This past 16 months have been most difficult but memories have sustained me and currently our house is for sale and when that happens I will build a condo and move closer to Tami.

From the Sullivan Daily Times 50 years ago.....Coach Bob Chenhall has 18 seniors, 16 juniors, 18 sophomores and 23 freshmen out for football. Dick Stockberger from Mishawaka, a 6-4, 190-lb. junior end, is the biggest player on the light squad on which most are in the 160-lb range. Only 10 of the 16 returning lettermen played much last year, and only three of them were starters.

Our 1961 yearbook was sadly but proudly dedicated to Kenneth (Buzzy) McCammon. Buzzy met his untimely death on October 2, only hours after he had, in his usual way, distinguished himself on the football field in a gamme with Gerstmeyer. On the gridiron his loss was keenly felt; more than that his absence in the halls, in the classroom, and in the community will ever be mourned. In death as in life Kenny will ever be a member of the Class of 1961. (As stated in the yearbook.)
