John McDonald
John McDonald, Chief Executive Officer of AACHC and President/Executive Director of CVN
John McDonald, Chief Executive Officer, began working at the Arizona Association of Community Health Centers (AACHC) on November 29, 2010; In 2013 he became the President and Chief Executive Director of Collaborative Ventures Network (CVN), a sister business organization to AACHC. CVN mission is network and business development. He is one of nine national representatives on the Leadership Advisory Committee for key federal health care agencies, HRSA, and BHPC, also serves in key National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) committees. John holds a M.S. degree in Health and Education focused on Public and Community Health. He also holds a Registered Nurse License in Arizona and is a Certified Professional in HealthCare Quality (CPHQ).
Mr. McDonald has a strong background in healthcare, holding a variety of healthcare roles before joining AACHC. His healthcare professional experience is in the areas of nursing, physician practice management, hospital administration to include integrated-delivery systems, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC), and Independent Practice Associations (IPA). John is considered a quality and care management expert and has significant experience with electronic medical record conversions and implementation of clinical guidelines. John has published numerous articles on quality, disease management, case management, and has served on the editorial boards for several medical journals and publications.
Other highlights in John’s career include administrator positions with Maricopa Integrated Health Systems (MIHS), John C. Lincoln Physician Network, and Vanderbilt University Medical Center. John is also a Veteran who served with NATO Alliance during the Vietnam Era.
