Debra (Jhan) Savage Lee

I Married Grady Lee, Jr. in August, 1973. We lived in Natchitoches while Grady was completing his education and I worked for Northwestern in Office Services. In 1977 we had our son, Ben and moved to Shreveport for a couple of years. We moved to Haughton in 1980. I worked for Arkla Equipment from 1978 to 1988. Our Daughter, Katie was born in 1982, and I continued to work for the same company (although it went through several name changes). When Production Operators was bought out by Waukesha Pearce I stayed at home raising our two children for 2-3 years before returning to the work force.

Over the years I continued to work part-time with several different companies so I could be with my children after school. When my daughter was a junior I went to work full tiem for Minden's own Mister Twister in Customer Service. When my Dad died in 2003 I could no longer work full time; my Mother needed me to look after her. At that time the part-time secretarial position became available at Love Chapel UMC and I have worked here since that time.

My Mom died on June 1, 2008; and I continue to work for Love Chapel, and am still married to Grady Lee, Jr. My son owns a company in Shreveport, Louisiana Water Sports (formerly Midway Marine), is married to Wendy Christy from DeRidder, and they have one son, Caleb, who will be 3 Nov. 2nd. My daughter is working at Meadowview in Minden as a Physical Therapist Assistant, is married to Randall Smith, and they have a 1 year old daughter, Brelynn.

My grandchildren are the light of my life and I enjoy spending as much time with them as their parents allow.
