Today's Featured Biography

Jacquelyn Camp Sherrard

It has been a long time since high school and a lot has happened in my life. I have married once and divorced. I have two boys from my marriage, Colby 13 and Andrew 11. I am a Pre-K teacher in Webster parish and now see my old teachers at the school board office. Marvin Jones is now my principal.
My life is simple, and I am very happy. I am living in Minden and am involved in our church here in town. I also stay very busy with the many after school sports activities that the boys are involved in. When we're not going to their activities we spend time with friends or family cooking out or hanging out together. We like bowling, going to the movies, watching a live Rangers game, and vacations with friends or family. We spend a lot of time in the summer at the ball park and the lake. The boys are big into hunting (I have tried this and it is not for me!) in the winter so I am busy getting them to different places for them to hunt with close friends.
My long range goal is to go back to school and complete my master's degree program. I would one day(after the boys graduate) like to teach education classes on a college level.
My parents are still here in town, although they are now divorced. Mark(brother) married Rebecca Montgomery and settled in Longview and has two beautiful girls. Lalla(sister) married and a guy from out of state and lives in Flower Mound, Texas. She has one son and is currently pregnant again.
