Joan Leslie Atkinson

After graduating I worked locally and then married in 1970 to Richard (Chip) Atkinson. We had 2 children, Lisa and Rich. We lived in Arlington, then moved back to Bedford after my mother died and left me her house in 1981. We remained in Bedford until 1994 and then moved to Tarpon Springs, FL which is on then west coast and on the Gulf of Mexico. My daughter Lisa met her husband David and then they had their one and only daughter Olivia in 2009. She is now 6 going on "16" and my best buddy. My son Rich stayed in FL for a few years then moved back to MA. He later returned to FL as he missed his family. He is still single and looking for "Miss Right". I wish he would find her as Mom and Dad are not getting any younger. He is continuing with his career and says he is "still looking." I retired in 2011 from our local hospital after 16 1/2 years and my husband had retired prior to us moving to FL. We enjoy living in the warm climate and DO NOT miss the harsh winters of New England. We have been fortunate of go on quite a few cruises, trips and just enjoying this part of the world. We have had many other relatives who have retired here and get together with them often. I pray we will be able to continue this lifestyle for many more healthy years.
