Today's Featured Biography
C Mudgett
Hi from Chris Mudgett.
January 2006
After BHS I attended UMASS Amherst with plans to become a music teacher (and that years' POMS scholarship) but by the time I graduated I had changed my major several times, ending up with a BA in Theater and a lot of great music experience. Near the end of my junior year figured out that I wasn't interested in a career in the arts, but I really did want to graduate. All those music courses have served me well. I've been an active member of the Concord Band in Concord Mass since I left UMASS - for over 30 years !!! Obviously I love it. I play the flute and have also been band president for the past 5 years. Bill Toland (BHS teacher) was the conductor of the Concord Band forever until he moved about 10 years ago and we got a new conductor. (If anyone wants to hear more about Bill Toland drop me a line, I actually saw him a few weeks ago).
I took night courses in computer science after college and have worked in software development ever since. In the last dozen years or so I've been a software development manager and program manager at a number of companies in technology areas including network management, internet portals, identity management, and like many others I had a long stint at Digital. Last summer (2005) when Concord Communications was bought by Computer Associates, I chose to leave, took a nice break for a couple of months, and am now actively looking for my next position.
I live in Bolton MA (for 15 years) with my husband Fred, who is a grad of Lynnfield High School, Bowdoin, and B.U. (We were on the football fiekd together during high shcool in rival marching bands but didn't know each other then). We live in a 200-year old farmhouse with our 3 cats on an acre bordering conservation land. In the fall our foliage trips consist of looking out various windows or going itto the backyard to see the maple trees behind the house in full color. In winter we have a constant show of birds at our feeders. We do a lot of gardening in the warmer seasons. We like to travel, and for local travel we especially like to spend time on the Maine coast where Fred went to college and my Mom spent her childhood summers.
My dad passed away a year and a half ago, but my mom is still doing well living in Bedford - she keeps me updated on the latest goings on. All my siblings, who also attended BHS (you may remember I'm from a family of 7 kids) live more or less in the Boston area and are doing well. I'm really looking forward to the 70's reunion this summer.
I echo what others have said, as we move along through the years it seems that health, family and friends become more and more precious.

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
