After WHS, I attended Brigham Young University for a year before serving an LDS mission in southern Italy. I returned to BYU, where I studied for a semester in Moscow, Russia, and worked summers as a journalist in Milan, Italy and tour guide at Disney World. I taught Italian and Russian during my senior year of college and graduated with a B.A. in Italian.
I immediately joined the State Department and lived in DC twice as I prepared to serve as a U.S. diplomat in Guadalajara, Mexico and Tel Aviv, Israel. I resigned from the Foreign Service after 5 years and went to law school at the University of Texas. I clerked at law firms in Rome, Italy, and Dallas before deciding that law wasn't for me, so I came to LA to seek my fortune.
In LA I have worked as the Press Attaché for the Consulate General of Israel, a National Outreach Director for the American Jewish Congress, and as the regional Executive Director for the Zionist Organization of America (my current job). I also travel around the country and the world lecturing on Mormon-Jewish relations (I just got back from a speaking tour of Scandinavia). I speak seven languages fluently and plan to learn more. My greatest joy in life is doting on my three adorable nephews, who live in Midland with my sister and her husband.
