Immediately after graduation in the summer of 1974, I headed to Europe with Margaret Stedman. I worked in Italy for three months, then headed overland to India, through Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan. I met my husband, Jonathan Nicholas, in Rishikesh, India. We lived in Nepal for a couple years, and then to Bath, England. I returned to the U.S. in 1979.
I've been in Portland, Oregon for a long time. I'm a staff writer for the daily newspaper, The Oregonian.
I noticed none of my pals are on the Web site. Are we still so apathetic?
