Today's Featured Biography
Ronnie Morgan
Well, where do I begin? Oh, of course, graduation!
After graduation, I attended Harding University in Searcy, AR. Started to work at the library there, taking care of a lot of their computer needs and ended up getting a full time job there before I graduated. Because of this, I didn't graduate until 1994 with my BBA in Computer Information Systems.
During that time, I met my wife to be in my freshmen year and then getting married in 1988. She is from MI, where we now reside. Marriage has been great! I couldn't have asked for a better wife. And, I'm glad I waited until college before I got serious with dating. (Sorry to all of you ladies who wanted me to ask you out. All one or two of you...)
But before moving to MI, we continued to live in Searcy, AR. I was working at the library full time, and then moved to the IT department and became their network manager. After 10 years of marriage, my wife FINALLY talked me into moving "back home". I was not thrilled about it, as I knew I wouldn't like the cold. And, I was right. But after about 8 years now, I'm getting used to it. The summers are nice...
When we moved to MI, I started working for Rochester College in Rochester Hills, MI. That was a great job at first, and even became the Director of IT. But, my boss didn't listen to me. Thought he knew more about IT than me. And decided to bring someone in over me to teach me how to do my job. That failed miserably. Feeling that they were never going to listen, I left there and am back in the library field at Genesee District Library where I am the Director of IT for the whole county of Genesee. THEY know how to listen to the people they've hired. It's been a great place to work.
I missed the 20 year reunion. All this moving around, I'm sure, didn't help. And I just happened to have stumbled onto this site. I'm glad I did. It's been great seeing what everyone has been up to since '86.
