After graduation, I attended UNC-G and graduated with a B.S. in Dance Education. I taught dance in the Durham Public Schools for 2 years. It was during that time I was reaquainted with a dear friend, Michael, whom I'd met my freshman year while attending a football game at NC State. We began dating and were married in November 1994. Michael has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from NC State and when we got married, he was employed with AVX Corporation in Myrtle Beach, SC. Michael continued to work for AVX for the next 9 years while we lived in Myrtle Beach. Our first son, Jackson Paul,was born in October 1998. In the fall of 2003, we moved back to Michael's hometown of Havelock, NC where he accepted a position with the US Government as an Engineer for the Marine Corps Air Station at Cherry Point. To our surprise, our move "back home" brought more than new address. We were blessed with another child in June 2004. Wyatt Crawford. Currently, I am teaching High School Drama at Gramercy Christian School and also volunteer as the school's Parent Teacher Fellowship President.
