Larry and I married in 1964 and lived in Portales,NM until 1967 when he graduated from ENMU. We moved back to Artesia where we both worked at the now defunct College of Artesia until 1968 when we moved to Midland for a few months and he worked for Shell Oil. We thought it would be fun (not) to move back to Cottonwood and farm, so we moved in fall of 1968. Our first child, Corey, was born in 1969 while we were on the farm. Larry took the position of Assistant Business Manager of Roswell Independent School district in fall of 1969 and we lived in Roswell until June 2002. Christi was born in 1971 and Larry eventually became Assistant Superintendent of Finance for RISD. After both our kids graduated from Goddard High, I went back to school and completed my degree in education and taught at Berrendo Midddle School (7th & 8th graders) until I could retire in 2002 at which time we moved to Lubbock, TX where our two kids settled. After we moved, two more babies were born, so we got to be here for all of that. Our son Corey, is an architect in Lubbock, so he and Larry built a few houses, including one for us at Wolfforth. Christi married her high school sweetheart, Kevin Sanders, and he is a chiropractor and has his own practice in Lubbock. We fill our days by attending ballgames, recitals, exhibitions, babysitting and just plain having fun with our grandkids. We are involved in our church family where Larry is an elder. We have had a rich life!!Grandchildren, Reagan Branch 11, Zac Branch, 9. Addison Sanders 10, Nathan Sanders deceased, Cooper Sanders 5, and Ryder Sanders 4.
