Joseph Chavez

It has been quite along time since I have been back to Belen or have had any contact with anyone from high school.

As some of you already know 3 days after graduation I left for the Military. My first 4 years were spent in Europe (Germany to be exact). In 1991 I was deployed to the Persian gulf for 9 months, but made it home safe. After returning from the Gulf I decided to make the transition from military to civilian life. I returned to Belen for approximately 1 1/2 years and decided to go back into the military. I spent the next 6 years stationed Colorado at Fort Carson. Since I got out of the Military in 1998 I decided to relocate to North Carolina where I met my present wife Wendy. Wendy and I have been Married for 8 years and have 5 Kids between us. I have a daughter (Jerika) and a son (Mylon) and she has two sons (Matt & Chad). We are in the process of adopting a 7 mth old named Makayla. So our lives are very busy. In our spare time we love to go boating and travel. Most of all we love to spend time with family.

I am currently working as a Human Resources Coordinator for a Homecare Agency. I also am licensed as a Massage and Bodywork Therapist which I am transitioning into at this time.

I am looking to seeing everybody at the reunion wherever it may be.
