Graduated from Oberlin College (OH) in 1978, BA in Physics & Mathematics, minor in Education. Married first wife Vera (FHS '76)in 1982. Actually, she is still my wife. Lived in Rochester 4 years, bought, remodeled, rented lot's of houses, etc., sold all when we moved back to Fairport in 1985 where we still live today. Bought a piece of heaven in the 1000 Islands in late 80's and escape there in summers as often as possible.
Have played flute fairly steadily since HS, in college and in many groups throughout my life, most recently playing jazz and latin jazz. Vera is a voice teacher and directs 2 choirs, so I started singing about 8 years ago as well. I currently sing in a men's a capella group, The Bowties (www.thebowties.com), that perfoms regularly around Rochester; our first CD is being released around May 1st 2006. I also sing in various other local choirs. Both kids are musicians as well, so it's been a lot of fun.
Christina is graduating this May from University of Colorado in Boulder with a degree in Mathematics. Maddy is studying Psychology at York University in Toronto, and is an aspiring young jazz singer.
I currently work as the Division Director at Rochester Colonial's HeartWood division (www.heartwoodwindowsanddoors.com), which sells mahogany windows and doors nationally to very (very) high-end homes and businesses. We were recently featured on This Old House in January '06.
Fairport is still a great place to live and raise a family. It's always great to see old classmates at reunion events - thanks to Mark and crew for the hard work!
