Kristi Driver Johansen

Since graduation: I attended OU where I met my husband; we married in '80; traveled all over the USA and parts of Europe while he served on Active-Duty Navy assignments; finally finished my education by graduating from the Univ. of North Fla. in '83 w/ BA in Education; did the 'Mom thang' in '84,'86,& '89; full-time Mom/part-time Spec. Ed teacher living in the Dallas/FT Worth area until 2001 when a combination of job loss & a Recall back to the Active-Duty Navy Reserves, produced a life-altering career change for entire family which included an objectionable relocation to our current abode(FL). To help make it a tad more palatable, our new home is only 5 mins from the ocean. Life goes on! New jobs, new careers; the kids grow up, graduate, begin to move out(WHOOHOO!!2 down! one graduates June 2008!!) and I am finding that I am entering a new phase to my life that I really enjoy! I currently work part-time as an admin. assistant/office manager which helps support my newfound passion & hobby of singing in a competitive a cappella barbershop chorus & quartet.(check out my chorus' website that I maintain: www.jaxharmony.com & also, my new web service business I recently launched that will also help support this singing hobby: http://xpressionbydesign.com) Music, and performing with it, is still in my blood, even though it's vocally & on a stage rather than a football field! I was able to continue my "Marching Band Fun" by being an active Band parent for all 3 of my kids while they were in high school! I'm looking forward to seeing everyone at our next reunion! You'll know me~I'll be the one in the gold sparkly twirler outfit! [wink!] HEY!!! It could happen!!
