Today's Featured Biography
Edward Boksan
After earning my B.A. in Economics from Penn State in 1990, I worked in lending for two years. Karen Barsness (Freedom Class of 1985) and I were married in September 1991. In 1993 I began my career in financial services and have been working as an agent with New York Life ever since. My office is located at 1125 S. Cedar Crest Blvd., Suite 203 in Allentown near I-78. I love my work and get to see a few of our classmates (some who are also clients) from time to time. Karen and I were blessed with a wonderful daughter that we named Jana in June 1999. In 2003 I earned the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation from The American College in Bryn Mawr, PA.
I am a past president of the Northampton County Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association and NAIFA Lehigh Valley (National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors).
Currently I volunteer for a number of organizations. I'm a member of Musikfest Council and I also serve on the ArtsQuest (the organization that presents Musikfest and Christkindlmarkt and operates the Banana Factory in South Bethlehem) Volunteer Committee. I serve as one of Governor Wolf's Parents' Advisory Committee (PAC) representative to BASD. I coach softball at City Line Little League and I'm active at my church, the Cathedral Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem. I also serve on the board of Episcopal House, a senior living facility in Allentown.
I live near Governor Wolf Elementary School and I'm looking forward to experiencing life as a parent in all the same schools that I attended in BASD.
