Today's Featured Biography
Karen Summers Armstrong
I was married in 1982 to my first husband James (Buck) Peters. We had a daughter, Meagan Marie in 1983, and divorced when she was 3 years old. He died of colon cancer 3 years ago.
I married Terry in 1987. He has a partnership with his brother in new home construction, with the majority of his homeowners in Penn National. We live in St. Thomas with Josh, 22, & Emily, 16 (Meagan, 23, is away @ college, Temple University, now in graduate school, pursuing a degree in occupational therapy), 2 dogs & 2 cats. Starting to feel the empty nest as our youngest is quite the social butterfly and is constantly going somewhere with someone (not sure I like it).
I went back to school a few years ago to become a medical assistant, and work @ a very nice office, I'm treated well & love all my co-workers, It's great! (keeping my cosmetology license though)
Unfortunately I have a continuous "battle with the bulge" Note: Bulge is winning! Otherwise, I am very healthy & thankful for it.
I love spending time with my family, & friends. Read a few books a year & am kept very busy by everyone elses social agenda.
Guess what? I don't feel as old as I thought we were supposed to by now! WOW
