I was employed with Schering-Plough for 20 years until down-sizing in 1991. I have been with Memphis Area Teacher's Credit Union for 15 years as Assistant Director, Accounting.
I am active in my church, Trafalgar Village Baptist, and I play piano in our Praise Band in 2 services on Sunday morning.
I am updating my profile since my mother recently passed away, May 12th, the day after Mother's Day. As I had mentioned earlier, she had so many health issues, but she lived 89 years and I was blessed to have her that long. However, it seems so short now and my Dad and I miss her so much. I know one day we will be together forever. My dad is retired from full-time pastoring, but is preaching, at age 84 for other pastors as they need him. We are blessed each day and we are thankful for each day we have.
I will be looking forward to seeing everyone again. It's amazing how fast these years have gone by.
Growing up.
The calamities of adolescence.
Perpetual obstacles
hindering our ability to enjoy
the simple things in life.
Incessantly surrounded by drama,
“he-said, she-said” gossip,
petty arguments,
and the tragic dilemmas
of teenage life.
They say these are the best years of our lives.
Stressful schoolwork,
the frustration and pressure
to do your best,
always give 110%.
Imperative decisions
and choices that are crucial
towards your future,
and the rest of your life
are essentially necessary
to be made
Right now.
The overwhelming distress
and distraught feelings
are overpowering.
They say these are the best years of our lives.
and I couldn’t agree more.
For nothing I’d trade
the memories made.
The laughter and cheer
throughout all of the years
outweighs everything else
Making it all worthwhile.
