Today's Featured Biography
Ben Cunningham
Seems like 1993 was such a short time ago. Guess our parents were right after all. The older you get, the faster time flies. Now that I think about it, the older I get, the more I realize how right they were about any number of things.Well, here's my life in a nutshell. I've been married since July 25, 1998 to a beautiful and wonderful lady. Her name is Jamie and she's from Adamsville, TN. I firmly believe God matched us up & she's the only person in this world who would put up with me for the rest of her life. With each passing day I realize how blessed I am to have her in my life.Together we have 3 beautiful daughters...Olivia, Grayce, and Annaliese. Sometimes I get very lonely in my own home. As someone once told me, I'm living in an estrogen ocean. After high school, I went to MTSU and majored in Recording Industry Management and Broadcast Communications. Dating back to my high school years, I've spent 16 years in radio. Most of that time was spent here at home in West Tennessee at the stations in Union City and Martin. I also had the wonder opportunity to work in three major markets during my broadcasting career...Memphis, St. Louis, and, my favorite market, Nashville. In 2003 I was honored to receive the National Program Director of the Year by one of the trade publications in Los Angeles/Hollywood, CA. I also received the same award again in 2004 and the station I was working for at the time was honored as the Adult Contemporary Station of the Year. Among the people that presented myself and the radio staion with the awards were Corey Feldman, Huey Lewis, Billy Vera, & Kenny Loggins. You know I grew up in the 80's when I refer to meeting those folks as the highlight of my professional career. :-)During a hiatus from the broadcasting industry, I spent time as a road manager for several musical artists based in Nashville. I was blessed to work with such artists as Michale W. Smith, Out of Eden, Avalon, & Toby Mac in the Contempory Christian format. In the Country format, I worked with Garth Brooks, George Strait, Alan Jackson & others. One of my most treasured moments in the Country format was receiving an invitation and attending the funeral of the legendary Johnny Cash.Over the last three years, my life has changed in a dramatic way. In August of 2007 I went to work for Herman Jenkins Motors in Union City. Currently, I am their Internet Manager & in-house IT Technician. I'm responsible for the maintenance of all of their web sites as well as their online inventory and Internet-based sales.Outside of my new career in the automotive industry, I strive to dedicate as much time as possible to various ministries that focus on recovering drug addicts, alcoholics, & people that are battling depression. Because I have battled all of those demons and emerged as a victor over them, I try to encourage and reassure others like myself that addictions and depression can be defeated. Contrary to popular belief, addictions and depression CAN BE DEFEATED! The phrase "Once and addict, always an addict" is a lie. An addict can be "cured" and will not always be an addict. Once given the proper tools, ANYONE can overcome ANY problem in life.

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
