Today's Featured Biography
Joan Walker Cox
After graduation in May, 1964, I took a job with American General. Then later, worked for attorneys, an engineering firm, and Texaco Credit Card Center. Married Mack E. Cox in 1968, had two (2) beautiful and wonderful children (Tonya in 1971 & Mark in 1972). In January, 1977, we moved to our acreage (64 acres) out of Caldwell, Burleson County, Texas. In 1980, I went to work for an attorney, Paul J. Batista, and worked for him until 1993. In 1994, I retired, but then my husband started his own business, Texas Products, and I did his bookkeeping and assisted him in his business. But, in Jan. 2010 I permanently retired; but then started a small business I currently operate: Cox Services & Creations. I make custom greeting cards, shadowboxes, custom albums for weddings, new baby, anniversary, retirement. Also make accessories for weddings, such as flower girl basket, ring bearer pillow, unity candles, etc.
My husband and I enjoy our home, our five (5) awesome grandchildren (Kyle (17), Serena (15), Hayden (13), Meghan (11), & Leyton (8). We also have two (2) god-grandchildren, Jayden (7) and Tristian (6). I truly have been blessed since graduation with a husband of soon to be 46 years and 7 grandchildren.
I would really like to participate in my 50-year high school reunion, except that you always seem to have it at some "bar or nite club". It would really be wonderful if it could be held at some other type of facility.
