I got involved in playing tennis during my Junior year at Reagan and because of that I managed to get a job as Assistant Manager at Memorial Park Tennis Center in 1980. I had been going to college after graduating from Reagan and changed my major a few times before settling on a general business degree. My father convinced me to go full time and as a result, I quit my job and worked as his typist and word-processor for his real estate appraisal reports. Unfortunately, my dad passed away in 1985 and my mother and I had no means of income. A friend of mine I met from playing tennis at Memorial Park got me a job as a word-processor at Hughes Drilling Fluids and this led to a computer operations position that lasted six months before the company dissolved. My mother found work as a live-in companion for an elderly lady who stayed at a senior citizens luxury building off San Felipe. Eventually, she retired and moved to her hometown La Proyor in 1990. I managed to get a few other jobs that enabled me to finally graduate with a business administration degree from the University of Houston-Downtown in 1987. After getting my degree, I worked various computer operator jobs, as well as contract data entry work and the tennis department at two Sun and Ski locations. It was 8 years later before fate allowed me to return to the one job I loved-working at Memorial Park Tennis Center in 1995. I resumed my original job title as assistant manager and also started teaching tennis. Three years later, I was able to secure my current title as the Manager and Head Pro at the center. I moved to an apartment complex off Mangum and 34th street where I met my ex-wife-to-be, Renee' Holloway. We married in November of 2000 and spent 7 years together before we realized we had a better relationship as friends. I now live about five minutes from the park and life couldn't be much better. I still go saltwater fishing like I have most of my life. Of all the people who were in our class, I still talk to Omar Leal on a regular basis and I have also gone bowling with Rudy and Theresa Guzman. I have seen Gayle Pollard on the tennis court and I also ran across Nancy Puente at the 290 Target. I managed to attend the ten and twenty year reunions and I look forward to seeing everyone at some future date. I am grateful for this website so that we can all stay in touch.
Hey Bulldogs!
I would love to post photos of our 50th Birthday Bash, and I know your fellow classmates would love to see your photos as well! My camera died
soon after I started taking photos, so I don't have many to share with
fellow classmates.
If you would like to share your photos of the party, please contact me.
You will be given credit as the donor of the photos.

"I can't say enough about what this site has done for our reunion committee. As the person who maintains the class page I have to say I am impressed. I am able to use my web design background to benefit the class without the hassle of paying for a domain and hosting fees or hosting myself. I really like the fact that the alumni have the choice to contribute and it is not mandatory. It takes a lot of stress away from those who may not be able to afford monthly fees but still want to stay in touch. The alumni can see how everyone is doing and what everyone is up to. The additional resources you provide will be put to good use for our reunion. Thank you to your team for all your hard work in maintaining your system."
