Today's Featured Biography

Blanche Bland Pape

I left Uvalde in 1965 for the bright lights of Austin. I continued my career with Southwestern Bell until 1991, when I retired after 27 years service. I married in 1969 and moved to Wimberley where I lived for 25 years. I divorced in 1993, and then moved to New Braunfels in 1994, where I live now. After retiring from the phone company, I went to work for Thermon Manufacturing in San Marcos where I am still employed. I have one wonderful son, Rhett, who lives in Wimberley. We see each other often. I still love to dance and am a member of the Carousel Ballroom Dance Club in New Braunfels. I am very involved in the Toastmasters Organization which keeps me busy. I hope to see you all at our reunion in 2012.
